Who We Are
Our History
After a number of years in education working at a senior level, and after a period of educational consultancy Tony Hammond became the founder, creator and Chairman of 7KS Ltd in 2002. The company has gone from strength to strength and currently employs over 90 staff.
Our Team
Tony Hammond is supported by a team of Directors and Consultants with a wide range of expertise and experience to provide ‘Integrated Educational Services’ to a network of non-formal learning providers working with young people who do not, for whatever reason, access mainstream educational opportunities

Tony Hammond - Chairman
Tony founded 7KS in 2002 and is company Chairman. His vision and drive have set the pace in forging the company from foundation into its current role as a national leading provider of non-formal learning that leads to formal qualifications.
Tony provides leadership to the board of Directors and oversees development of the company’s direction and strategy.
Lynne Hammond – Company Secretary/Director
Lynne has been with the company since it was formed in April 2002. Her belief is the success of the company is mainly due to the enthusiasm and commitment of the workforce.
Lynne’s past business experience has been an invaluable asset as the company has grown, helping to strengthen and successfully develop the financial side of the business. Another key responsibility is to oversee the maintenance of standards within the company.
Steve Taylor – Operations Director
Joining the company in 2003 from a senior management position, Steve leads the management teams for both Quality Assurance and Health and Safety, ensuring effective and progressive safe systems of work throughout the organisation.
Responsible for the upkeep of 7KS premises and project management of new property developments, Steve is also lead Director for the Tees Valley Youth Achievement Foundation.
Jonathan Hammond – Operations Director
Jonathan joined 7KS in 2003 and was responsible for the development of a learning centre for 14/16 year old students in North Lincolnshire, who for whatever reason were not attending mainstream education.
Jonathan is currently responsible for the development of an effective Human Resource Department to support the growing number of staff employed by the company and is the lead Director of South Park College and the Derbyshire Youth Achievement Foundation.
Alan Wain – Operations Director
Alan joined 7KS in 2003 and developed the company’s accreditation network. He became the inaugural Youth Achievement Foundation Programme Director, being seconded to UK Youth for six months in April 2008. He is currently helping develop Chikara Physical Arts for its delivery into primary and secondary schools.
Alan is the lead Director for Accreditation, IT, Chikara and Youth Achievement Foundations.
Ann Farr – Derbyshire Work Based Learning Director
Having previously worked for 15 years with young people post 16, Ann joined 7KS in 2002. Ann’s main responsibility is to support Derbyshire’s Department for Children and Younger Adults and local schools, providing opportunities for young people to access alternative placements/educational provision.
Andy Collier – Commercial Director
Following a career in industry, Andy joined 7KS two years ago. Andy works with the team to provide strategic and commercial guidance to help the company grow, whilst balancing its financial obligations with its vocational outlook.
